What have we been up to...

Well, it seems that we have been rather busy going here and there throughout July. We had a great time at the beach with our (my) family. My parents, my brother and wife and his three kids, and us went to Redington Shores near St. Pete. We choose this beach because of a wedding we needed to attend and because we wanted to follow the Story's on vacation. My brother and his wife left us at the beach with the kids while they honeymooned in the Bahamas. They never went when they got married so they celebrated their 10 year anniversary with a honeymoon. Sometimes when your left in charge of kids, things can go wrong. But it didn't for us. We had a great time. I wish I could post pictures, but I am scared of what become of me if I do.

After we came home all relaxed and ready for life again, we headed out on an adventure in our home state. We wanted to explore our mountains. So we traveled from here to there. If I told you where we actually were, I'd be found out and we don't want that happening now, do we. It was a beautiful drive. I am going to put a picture of my husband trying his hand at photogrpahy. He says he's good. Who am I to argue with a know it all. You can make up your own mind.

I have also been reading alot this summer. I've read 4 books so far. Ok. Well, I'm going to go try to upload a picture. It's going to take a while. I think I may have taken this photo. But I don't really know.

Ok it took too long for the picture to upload so I gave up. Oh well.

A Gal's Best Friend

Just finished reading, Marley and Me, my John Grogan. It was a great book if you are a dog lover. I highly recommend it to Tim and Lisa. You might find yourself relating to this man's tales of living with a labrador retriever. As I finished the book, I started to think of my dog Cami's mortality. She is 8 years old. She is beginning to get old. And I realized how much I love my dog. You all laugh and poke fun at her because she's not the best looking mutt, but she is my loyal companion. She listens well and is smart. She was also the boss of the house until someone unexpected arrived 7 years ago. Cami still does not like Baby Babe. She tolerates her because she nows what is good for her. I think we about killed her when we moved to our place in the mountains. We didn't bring her pen. She had lived in that pen since she was a pup. I thought she could handle the freedom of being left out all day. Instead, she paced around looking for somewhere to go. I finally brought her travel kennel in the house and she settled down. Anyway, I found myself neglecting the dog lately. and now after reading that book, I plan on giving her move attention. I realize that she is the only friend I have here in the mountains that I can talk to and she understands completely. I love her. She is my best friend. She's a great dog who will never be replaced. I'm going to prove you can teach an old dog new tricks. She is learning to roll over. She's half way there. Anyway, if you are a dog lover, go hug your dog.

The family is thinking about camping. We want to tent camp. Some friends were out the 4th of July and we went to visit. They had a mini-village set up. It was neat. I just want some TN people to come and experience this place with us. So, whenever you all are up to the challenge of driving and camping let me know so we'll go buy a tent and be ready. We've got a great site on the lake.
